Bellbrook

In the Gospel of Matthew we are told that we are to be witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Basically, that just means that we are supposed to start in our hometown and work out from there. Bellbrook is our Jerusalem, our home town, the place where we put our kids on the bus, go grocery shopping, cheer on our teams, and visit with family and friends. It is the place where we worship each Sunday, and the place where we leave the church parking lot and take on the role to be witnesses week in and week out.

Bellbrook is where many of us spend most of our lives. Some of us have lived here our whole lives. Some of us just moved to the area. Some of us don’t even live in town. But to all of us, Bellbrook is our community to serve. See, in some ways, the church is a lot like many other human interactions. Without specific direction and focus, things seem to flounder. The church is no different. We can say we want to reach our neighbor and share God’s love with people, but in a suburban lifestyle where each man’s home is his castle, it is often hard to know much more about your neighbor than how much they care about their lawn. We want to be a church that is committed to Bellbrook and committed to providing a platform where people can serve God and serve their neighbor.

One way we are seeking to serve here in Bellbrook is through the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Family Resource Center. In years past we have contributed to their Adopt-A-Family program during Christmas and have held collections for their yearly Backpack Drive. We have a blast living, worshiping and serving in Bellbrook. We hope you will join us! If you know of a need in the community please contact us. We’d be happy to evaluate how we can help!
